3D-animated short film

My role: Effects TD
Software used: Houdini, Python, XSI

I simulated a collapsing wall and ceiling in Houdini and cached, exported and imported the transformation channels for rendering the geometry in XSI.

I wrote a Houdini Digital Asset for shattering geometry based on curves drawn in the viewport that I could recycle for use in Walka. In order to get the simulation to XSI I wrote a Python script for converting baked simulation channels from Houdini into XSI actions that could then be applied to the exported geometry.
