Fake commercial for a non-existing BMW concept car

My role: Lighting, Shading, Scripting
Software used: Maya, mental ray, Python

I used the mental ray car paint phenomenon shader for the BMW concept car in this fake Z12 commercial. We lit the scene using the mental ray physical sun and sky shaders.

I also wrote a small tool box GUI for Maya in Python that helped Marius with various tasks, e.g. tweaking the subdivision levels for selected surfaces or opening the car's doors.
